Devgad Kunkeshwar Yatra is observed on the Mahashivratri day in Magh month (Feb.)  as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra . Situated along the sea in the Sindhudurg district Kunkeshwar is known for its shoreside Shiva temple and the adjacent beach The region is known for its supply of Alphonso mangoes. The devotees take this Yatra  to the Kunkeshwar Temple located at Devgad in Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra.  This annual Jatra and festival attracts hundreds of devotees. People also flock to the fair and festival organized during the period. The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights, leaves, flowers etc. . Food donation is also held on the occasion. Various rituals are performed during the period.
