One of the most beautiful beaches in Sindhudurg is the Kondura beach of Kondura village in Vengurla taluka. You will find white sand, and smooth black rocks on this Kondura beach. If you want to see the eye-pleasing scenery of a clean beach with a high mountain and a beautiful temple in a peaceful area, then you should visit this Kondura beach. Shyam Benegal made a Hindi film in 1978 based on the famous Khanolkar's (Aarti Prabhu) novel 'Kondura'. Since then the name Kondura has become popular everywhere. This Kondura beach has many features like the cave that gives the premonition of rain, Madacha Bun, Sungai flowers, and the spectacular view of the sunset.

How to reach

Kondura beach is inside Kondura village. Kondura is a small village, 40 km from Malvan and 13 km from Vengurla. There is no board that displays the directions for this beach. Most of the time there is no internet range on the way too. There is a small lane on the right side on the way to Vengurla that takes you straight to the village.
