Jawhar is a small hill station municipal council situated on a plateau of sahyadris between rift valleys in Palghar district.It is located at a distance of 42 km from Palghar district. it is also known as the ‘Mahabaleshwar of Palghar District’. As one of the lesser known hill stations of Maharashtra, the place is gifted with exotic valleys, thick rich forests and pleasant climate.
